Every Little Bit Counts
When trying to get your caravan the correct weight it’s not always the big items that are the problem. A 25kg generator is an obvious issue.
But what about a stack of books?
A couple of spare packets of cereal?
A couple of six packs under the bed – just in case you run out?…
You get the idea. Sometimes you just have to be a bit ruthless with your packing and only take what is actually needed. So if you’re on the road and overweight leave a few books in a caravan park laundry, buy drinks as you need them… and go lighter with food. What’s the worst that can happen? You wake up to no cereal… It’s not the end of the world.
So while you think about the big items also think about the many smaller items that take up space and add weight. When loading your caravan for travel try to consider the combined weight of every item rather than forgetting about the smaller stuff!
